Last friday I had the pleasure of working once again with the london based alternative Model Ravina Rapture.

Based in Reading,  photographer Mike Croshaw seemed to share our enthusiasm for creative beauty and allowed us enough time to develop 3 different looks; the first was Burlesque inspired look using black eye liner as the prominent feature for the eyes and rich pillar box red / pink  for the lips. The second look incorporated the black and turquoise colour scheme of the lingerie, overall creating an almost gothic look. Finally, the last look was the most creative out of the three. The eyes were the focus for this look with the colour scheme being red, black and silver to fit with the little red riding hood theme. Unfortunately, when we were preparing for this look we were seriously running out of time so I had to rush this look a little. I was still happy with the results and how true to colour the make up looked in camera as MUAs often find that certain colours (depending on the product and tone) can look very different on camera to real life, so I would advise MUAs to check how the make-up looks on camera.

Products used for the above look: Illamasqua Matt Primer, L’Oreal Lumie Magique Primer, Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion in Greed, Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in Deep, Barry M Dazzle Dust – Red, Kryolan Silver eyeshadow, Barry M Dazzle Dust – White Glitter, Accessorize Marble eyeshadow – white/gold/brown, Bobbi Brown longwear gel eye liner – Black, Red gel liner, Barry M Lip Paint in Pale Nude, L’Oreal Glam Shine Lip Gloss – Nude Shimmer.

Those that know me well will know that I love bold lines, in particular to be incorporated into the eye make up. Though the red riding hood make-up is similar to a previous look I once did for myself, I feel I have now taken it up another level and can put this look to rest for the mean time. My focus in coming months is to develop my line work and to use it in other creative ways.
